Leave a readme.txt saying to retrieve the password you have to download it at your download link here on sharecash! You'd be surprised at how many people will start downloading your text file!

2)Post to forums
There are a plethora of web forums on the internet with millions of users. Many forums have sections for downloads, and some are even dedicated to solely providing files. Upload a file that you know will be popular and post it to some active file sharing boards, and let the downloads - and cash - roll in!

3)What kind of files?
There are millions of uploaded files on the internet, but you want to find the one that will be the most popular and get the most downloads. These normally are videos of some popular event, like a soccer tournament, pdf's or free ebooks, game demos, game cheats, music files... the list goes on and on. Just make sure the file isn't copyrighted or sexually explicit!

4)Use youtube
Youtube is the new fronteir for internet marketing. By simply creating a video about a program, a song, a band, etc, and giving the user a download link in the video description will score you thousands of downloads, and dollars!

5)Peer-to-peer file sharing

Otherwise the file will be removed from the temporary directory at our server and you will have to download and pay the whole file as long as we have to download and pay it again too. It’s important to understand that it concerns pauses (breaks) while downloading. If you download a big file without breaks (or with breaks less than 24 hours long) using modem connection, you will download it successfully, as the system controls everything and do not remove files which are in process.
3. For downloading of very big files (2GB and more) it is important to have NTFS file system at target HDD (as usual this file system is default for all modern computers). Otherwise the message of saving error is returned.
4. If you meet with difficulties, failures or troubles working with the program please use the button “Contact support” in the program interface. This way the support service will receive your report for sure, know your login and analyze event log.

RECOMENDATIONS:
1. We strongly recommend you to use real and valid e-mail address during your registration. We send confirmatory e-mail message which contains the link for you to receive 100 gift credits. It is also used for contacting support service and changing password if necessary.
2. If you have high-speed internet connection, we recommend you to adjust downloading settings to highest level. For slow connections we recommend using the default settings.

Preparing for the transition into a new rates system

As mentioned earlier, we are going to replace the current system of rates to one that is more modern and advanced in it’s efficiency. We’ve begun this process immediately. Today we’ll delve into the preparatory phase of the transition.
First, the new system will not add the balance for sales, but this should be fully compensated by the rates. The new rates will be set primarily in accordance with the ratio of sales as well as several other parameters. Note that this does not mean that this will not be possible without the sales income.
As you may have guessed, we are about to introduce the system which may be familiar to some partners; where the rates are determined by the status of the account. The base status, which would be set for everyone by default, won’t be less than the average rates currently used on Uploading.com. And, for the most active partners, status will be immediately upgraded up to 1 or even 2 levels (total we have planned 4 levels of status).
Separate rates will also be introduced by file sizes. Within these new rates we intend to increase the maximum possible payment for 1000 unique downloads. In addition to this, we are going to expand the list of paid countries.

Essentially to reach a higher status your links should sell more premium accounts. Here are few tips that may help you to be promoted to a higher type of uploader and eventually to reach the platinum status:
* - Don't post links to different file hosting sites for the same file. This kind of mirrors allows users to simultaneously download from different sites and they have less incentive to buy premium.
* - Don't switch every day to different file hosting service - that way people are less willing to buy a premium account, as they will need multiple premium accounts from different services to get all the content and that is more expensive.

To make things easier, just imagine the ReferrerPoint is worth 2 € and the exchange per ReferrerPoint costs you 1000 RapidPoints of handling fee. This combination is set up to prevent attempted fraud.

By which means will the money be paid?
* To get your money transferred you will need a Paypal account.
* After we verified that your ReferrerPoints and RapidPoints were accumulated conform to our rules, the sum will be transferred to your Paypal account.
* This may take four to six weeks.
* We reserve the right to pay off only a part of the requested sum, e.g. in case ReferrerPoints had to be taken back from your account because of withdrawn payments of the new customer. It's understood that in this case we charge fewer RapidPoints according to the situation and the leftover balance can be requested again later.

What are the exact terms of participation and when do we verify if they have been fulfilled?
* From a technical viewpoint just like with RapidPoints every user participates automatically, but we will only check the compliance with our conditions once a payout has been requested. Our Terms of Service apply for participation in our affiliate program.

Much can be said about 2shared but what is mostly important - it is a large and absolutely free storage for any sorts of files. Clear and simple rules work here: if you’ve got files you want to share, just upload them to 2shared, and the world will get to know about them.

My opinion: Very strange service! There is no information about its properties. Very unprofessional...

New RS Feature: By locking your Accounts, you prevent the access by unauthorized third parties to your files, your password and email address, and to your RapidPoints. When the RapidShare-Security Lock is activated, the menu items "Settings" and "Convert RapidPoints" are locked and files can no longer be moved or deleted. All other functions remain available.
From within your Premium- or Collector's Zone, click on the red lock, located at the top left. You will receive a notification asking, if you want to secure the Account. When completing the steps, the system automatically sends an email to the email address provided by you, containing the access code. Please keep this access code save. You will need this code again when accessing the above mentioned feature the next time. Please also ensure that before activating the security lock, you provide a valid email address. You can easily notice if your Account is locked or not, be the colour of the Security Lock: Green denotes "locked", red denotes "open".

1. Creating a virtual copies of files. You can do one-click copies of all (or some) of your files. Check the necessary files and click "Create Virtual Copy" link.

2. Packing files to archives. Also very useful feature. You select the necessary files, enter the name of the archive, and click link "Add to archive". Done!

Rapidshare announced several important news:

1. In the future, the download volumes included in a Premium Account is going to be reduced from 10 Gigabyte a day to 80 Gigabyte a month, at continuous exact daily pro rata billing.
2. The sum of accumulated download-traffic is going to be reduced from 50 Gigabyte to 10 Gigabyte.
3. Personal web storage space is going to continue to be set to 500 Gigabyte.
4. Existing Accounts are not affected, aside that due to the change of 10 Gigabyte maximum accumulated traffic, no download volume can be transferred from one day to another.
5. For all existing Premium Accounts the old conditions are in place (10 Gigabyte download per day), however, you can already make use and profit of the new TrafficShare model.
6. A further change is going to effect a small number of users that neither upload their files through a Premium- or Collector’s Account. Files that are stored completely anonymous can now only be downloaded 10 times. Thereafter an error message will appear.
7. With immediate effect the FileMigrator has been made available, enabling you to move any files between Accounts, namely with the following combinations: From Collector's to Collector's, from Collector's to Premium, from Premium to Collector's, from Premium to Premium. LinkLists can be transferred from Premium- to Premium Account. More information is available in the Collector's-Zone, and respectively in the Premium Zone.

Really it should state here that we increase the prices. A few weeks ago, we have extended our capacities by 50 Percent, enabling you to download files at highest speed. Your satisfaction is our number one priority. While other webhosting services literally leave you stuck in congested networks, we don’t shy away from any cost and effort, providing fastest servers and connections.

It is not just "RAPID" that is important to us, "EASY" is of the same significance for us. Existing Accounts are not affected, aside that due to the change of 10 Gigabyte maximum accumulated traffic, no download volume can be transferred from one day to another. As it is technically not possible to work with various procedures, we have compensated all existing Premium users 50 Gigabyte of traffic volume to their TrafficShare quota. This balance does not expire, as long as you own the Premium Account. You can flexibly apply this quota for your own downloads, should your download balance have run out. The system then automatically allocated traffic in 1 Gigabyte packages from the TrafficShare quota.

In the course of the improvements, we have immensely reduced the prices for the TrafficShare packages. By this means, users that require additional download volume, can flexibly make additional purchases at any time, without increasing the cost for less frequent users. The advantage for frequent users is that by any desired increase in TrafficShare balance, maximum download volume is no longer dictated. The advantage for less regular users is that the prices are not going to be increased. By this we also hope to increase the interest in our TrafficShare model. For all existing Premium Accounts the old conditions are in place (10 Gigabyte download per day), however, you can already make use and profit of the new TrafficShare model.

It is not the price model only that we have shaped up for the future. A further change is going to effect a small number of users that neither upload their files through a Premium- or Collector’s Account. Files that are stored completely anonymous can now only be downloaded 10 times. Thereafter an error message will appear. If it is crowded though, you might experience only 0,2 megabit per second, since we always put our premium users first.

Thus, we have raised the daily premium download traffic from 5 gigabyte to 10 gigabyte. Attention! In early July Rapidshare made some important changes in its rules. These changes will affect all - and free-, and premium-users.

1. Important for Premium-users: You get a RapidPoint for each download, provided that the file is bigger than 3 megabyte (before that - 1 Mb) and the user has not generated more than 3 RapidPoints (before that - 5 RapidPoints) in the last hour.
Premium users can generate for you up to 255 points per day. (New! That have not previously been)

2. Important for Premium-users: Now it is NOT Permitted to Use (Share) RS-account with 2 different IPs at the same time! You can Use Your RS account in different Places, but NOT at the same Time!
Rapidshare decided on account of increasing of the amount of sharing accounts to take an action. If your last number in your IP changes, this will not cause the problem. But, The first three numbers must be same. All this will be applied on downloading from 2 different IPs at the same time!

3. Important for Free-users: No more captchas - higher flexibility for premium-users. By eliminating the captchas we simplified the use of RapidShare's free services significantly. In addition, free-users can now upload and download bigger files (up to 200 Mb). Anyhow, to protect RapidShare from congestion caused by automated downloading, we limited the maximum download speed for free‐users to 500 kilobit per second. To compensate for that, they do not have to wait anymore until starting a succeeding download.

Resume: Number purshased accounts does not meet the RS. They are pushing to purchase the accounts. Normal practice for ANY share-service.
Also RS reverans made towards those who have small number of post. In doing so, has limited those who post a lot.
Reasonably. To many accounts did not imply to premium-points. In doing so, if you spread a bit, then you are almost 100% guarantee to extending your account by 7500 points of premium-users (which was not previously).
Also limited ability of those who make mirrors with RS to other services (Now it is NOT Permitted to Use (Share) RS-account with 2 different IPs at the same time).

Added new logo, and there are some important news:

1. Instead of 25 gigabytes you can now download 50 gigabytes within 5 days.

2. From RS: A big project like this aways involves errors slipping in. That's why we need your help! Did we miss something? Did you experience a bug regarding user guidance or programming? Tell us about it! The sender of the first mail we receive reporting a particular bug will be rewarded with 1.000 RapidPoints, accredited to his or her account.
If you do not have an account yet, we will create one for you using the RapidPoints you won. This is important for free-users. Send the bug and get a free premium-account!

My impression:

The RapidShare Manager is a user friendly tool to upload and download files from RapidShare.com. The multiple setting possibility's allow the professional up- and downloading for beginners and experienced users. Upload is possible for premium, collector's and free user. Premium users can upload files with a file size up to 2.000 MB. Files bigger than 100 MB can only be downloaded by Premium users, unless the files have been a direct download and the traffic is paid by the file holder. Additional information to this feature can be found in the Premium Zone.

[ PREMIUM-Account ]
Please enter your login and password at Premium-Account in the settings. You can choose the upload method (premium, collector's zone or free user) for each file.

[ Upload ]
The upload of your files using Rapid Uploader is very simple. Choose the card Upload and drag all desired files to the list and drop them or click on the blue button and choose using the file chooser the files. All files have been added now and the upload starts. Upload can be made as Premium, Collector's or Free user. You have the possibility to choose how many parallel uploads start at the same time.

Rapidshare website down. Today Rapidshare is down completely for the whole world. The premium Rapidshare-users are outraged over this some sudden downtime that they have been experiencing for a while now. There was no offical notice on rapidshare’s website about the downtimes.
Maybe the Rapidshare owners are saving enough many to buy the “High-End” PCs for the contest who knows unless we get an official response from Rapidshare we may never know what the real reason is behind the recent downtimes that has been happening to many people and not to the rest.

As of 19 January 2008 16:00 GMT, Rapidshare's servers appear to be offline. There are rumors that Rapidshare has been shut down by the authorities after a court order, however, court records do not reveal any issued Rapidshare court order as of yet. Rapidshare technician Steven Gircham has commented on this issue: "There are rumors concerning attacks made on the Rapidshare.com servers. There are also rumors that Rapidshare has been shut down by a court order. These rumors are false. We would like to apologize to our users and inform them that no data has been lost. There have been some hardware issues as a result of high bandwidth and server overload. We are doing our very best to resolve the hardware issues, and users should expect uptime by midnight tonight (GMT)"

Rapidshare: Important changes for Uploaders

On November 10th, we (rapidshare.com) will launch our storage revision program.

Accounts that use more than 20 GB of storage will be marked as "XXL" accounts by our system.
If any files associated with an "XXL" account have not been downloaded within the last 90 days ("inactive files"), those files will be deleted automatically.
As soon as the account's storage is less than 20 GB, no further files will be deleted.
Of course, no active files (i.e. files that have been downloaded at least once during the last 90 days) will be deleted. This means, we still offer unlimited storage for active files.
Your account's current storage utilization is over 20 GB, which means your account will be marked as "XXL".
Please check your account for files that you no longer need and remove them.
This helps to avoid the deletion of files you would like to keep.

You can check your current storage utilization at any time in the premium zone, right above the files list.

You bristle long wait, slow speed of downloads, but you are not willing (or can not) to buy premium-account?

Then this publication is just for you!
I tell you HOW TO GET Premium-accounts for some share-services for free. Although you have to spend a little time.
You ask me "How is it possible? Could it be complicated?". No, it is not cheating. All are officially: we use partnership programs of these services.

It's no secret that too many such file-share services request a payment from their members. But there are services, which just want to give you a premium account. If you upload files to these services (and other users will download this files, of course).

I'll tell you about three (3) such services:

Rapidshare (FAQ): To get 1-month RS's premium-account you must collect 10000 points. You will get one point per download if the downloader is a free-user AND your file is bigger than 1 MB AND the downloader has generated less than 5 points in the last hour.
Note: after receiving premium account you need everyone next month for an extension to collect 10,000 points. Otherwise your account will closed. But! Not completely. You will be given one month to collect points. During this month you can upload the files to your account, you will run points, but you can not download files using premium accounts.

Depositfiles (FAQ): To get DF's Gold-Account (Gold-Account is name of DF's premium-account) for a month you need to reach 5000 unique downloads of your files. If you collect 10000 unique downloads of your files, DF give you Gold-Account for 6 months. Read information about some parameters of DF's earn-program.

Easy-Share (FAQ): Your premium account was enabled when you have generated over 15K downloads during last 30 days. It will be active while you have more than 15K downloads during last 30 days.

What’s unique download? It’s downloading of your file from one IP address. Which means that one person can download let’s say 10 files from your account but it will be counted as 1 unique download. To get 10 downloads into your account, your file need to be downloaded by 10 people.

Do not be scared! This is not as much as it seems at first glance. (More you can read about tens share-services here).

Second, now you can decide: what service you want. Or all three services. :)

First step. Registration.
Rapidshare: For get free collector's account upload any file from Rapidshare's homepage (any small file from your PC). After the upload you will be asked automatically if you want to have a free Collector's Account. After registration you can see you Collector's Zone. a. WHAT kind of files to share?
b. WHERE to share?

a. You can easily understand that easiest way is simply look for views/comments of publications on the sites that you visit. :)
b. Be sure to be published in the most visited sites. But the competition is very hard and you need to find the really interesting things. To start you will be easier to publish your link in the not very popular sites. So WHERE you should make your post is depend on you only.

Also note that the prohibited files are removed from these (and other) services without warning.

To get 1-month RS's premium-account you must collect 10000 points. You will get one point per download if the downloader is a free-user AND your file is bigger than 1 MB AND the downloader has generated less than 5 points in the last hour.

Some useful features of Rapidshare

Many do not use all features of share-services. So I want to tell you about some features of Rapidshare.
1. Check RapidShare-URLs for availability
You can add a list of RapidShare-URLs of your choice and we will check if all files exist on our servers. If the file does not exist, the link will be shown in red. If the file exists but the server is down, the file will be shown in yellow. If all is ok, the link will be shown in green.
- Go to check page
- Enter one URL per line. Example: http://rapidshare.com/files/72635215/filename.zip
- Click "Check URLs"
- Enjoy! :)

2. Remote-uploads (only for Premium-users)
- Go to your premium-zone
- Click "Remote-Uploads" button
- Enter one URL per line. Just enter one link (http://.... or ftp://....) per line and we will upload that file(s) for you to RapidShare. The RapidShare-link(s) will automatically appear in your premium-zone. You can use http:// and ftp://. Make sure the file is not bigger than 105.000.000 bytes (100 MB), or the process will abort. More infos in our FAQ. If you click on the upload-button without giving an URL, the page will be refreshed without doing anything else. This way you can track your remote-uploads in real-time! You can enter one URL per line. Don't forget that all transfers start at once! If you enter 100 URLs, which are all located on the same server, some downloads will probably fail.
- Click "Start Remote-upload" button
- Wait... and enjoy! :)
P.S. After uploads you must delete uploaded links. Max quantity of links is 100. If you remote-upload many files then it is a problem. Not exist "Check all" button. :(

Especially for bigger companies, RapidShare offers a file sharing cluster solution. Your files will be saved on many servers at the same time and your users will be leaded to a random server automatically. This clustering makes it possible to handle a high amount of traffic concurrently, for example on events or important software updates, where a concurrent bandwidth usage of more than 500 MBits is required.
You have 10.00 GB of direct download traffic left. Each newly created premium account gets 10 GB of free traffic to check out this service for free.
In order to change files to direct download files, mark the respective files with the checkboxes you can find before every file link in the file list. Then click the button below the file list to convert the files to direct download links type (1). Direct download files will be labeled in the file list so you know which files are direct download files and which are not. In case your free direct download traffic is all used up, the direct download files will automatically being handled like normal RapidShare links.

Secured links for professionals

In case you want to control who uses your direct download links for how long, you can generate secured download links. You can convert your files to three types. Type (0) is a normal RapidShare download link, type (1) is the unsecured direct download link, which can be used by everyone who knows the link until you delete the file or change the file to type (0) again. Type (2) is the protected link. To use this feature, you need webspace capable of running PHP or Perl. With this program you will generate protected links, which are only valid as long as you want. Now a little Perl example script:

Attention: This method must not be used in JavaScript (for example). We generate a MD5-hash based on some secret values including a time stamp. Since a hacker does not know the secret data, he can not create "hacked" download links, which are valid for 3 years for example. The main secret is the killcode of your file, but also the premium login should not be published. In case you need help implementing the method, you can contact our support.

MS Launches SkyDrive File Sharing Service (Beta)

News from PAL Graphics Area's friends: Opened the free cross-platform service eases the process of sharing files.
While email and traditional FTP servers remain a popular way to exchange files, a wide range of Web-based services have arisen in recent years to simplify the process of exchanging files. To that end SkyDrive breaks no new ground, but is simply another example of Microsoft's relentless extension of the services it provides under its Live brand. Originally made available earlier this summer in a beta version called Windows Live Folders, SkyDrive remains in beta but has added functionality and extended its initial availability in the United States to India and the United Kingdom.
The service provides Mac or Windows users with 500 MB of free storage, with the ability to create folders and specify who has access to them via password protection. Each folder and file is given a specific URL, making it easy to invite others to view or add files, although a requirement for access is a Windows Live ID and password. New in the current version is the creation of thumbnails for images, drag and drop support for uploading, and the ability to embed stored files and folders in any Web page.
