Uploading.com: New Rates

From Uploading: We are very pleased to introduce the newest version of the affiliate program from of the largest and renown file hosting service. And we invite both professional and newbie webmasters from all over the world to share in the benefits of mutual cooperation.
Anyone familiar with computers and the internet are able to quickly and easily earn their way to financial security. It’s only a matter of developing earning skills. The first lesson is knowing where the best instruments of support are located. Uploading.com is one such instrument. With it you’re able to regularly upload interesting files and publish links with their descriptions on your personal or public resources - forums, blogs and news portals. And that's all; simply update the statistics and witness for yourself how the money flows to you!
We provide a flexible and smart rates system - a system that encourages one to achieve the very best results possible. We pay for every 1000 downloads generated from 36 countries around the world and the number of countries participating is constantly growing. First we split the rate table by file size, selecting 5 groups, each one operating its own price for the 1000 downloads. Larger files are priced higher.

The rates fluctuate depending on the status of account. Each week our system calculates and evaluates the productivity of every webmaster and establishes the status. This operates all of the following week, and it’s a process that is repeated every week.

After registering, a new partner receives the Base status where the average rate for 1000 downloads is $6. On average, each active webmaster can easily estimate that his status will be extended to Power status, and more experienced partners will receive the status of Ultra which has the rates unprecedented in the market file hosting services. Status Light may be issued only in cases of extremely low activity, and in very rare cases.

The two main criteria for calculating statuses are:
1) the number of purchases of premium accounts by users who download your files, and
2) the number of files that you upload each week in addition to how many active users download it.
There may be instances when we manually bill the status for the promotion of individual partners.

Rates for 1000 downloads
Status 1-10 Mb 10-50 Mb 50-100 Mb 100-250 Mb 250 Mb +
Light $1 $2 $3 $4 $5
Base $2 $4 $6 $8 $10
Power $3 $8 $9 $12 $15
Ultra $4 $10 $12 $16 $20

RapidShare points system 2.0 [Update]

From RS: We have received a lot of feedback regarding our points and rewards system. We have now developed a new system, which will make valuable rewards possible for all our loyal customers and partners. We would like to thank all the customers who have contributed to this new system by providing their feedback and ideas!
Premium-RapidPoints will now be counted separately from the classical (Free-)RapidPoints. Premium-RapidPoints can be exchanged for Free-RapidPoints, but as an additional possibility, you will also be able to use them in place of the former "ReferrerPoints" in exchange for valuable rewards.
As a compensation for the waiting time until our new system has been finished, we are offering a great summer special: currently, you can create a 30-days Premium Account for only 1998 Free-RapidPoints!

Update, August 24: In order to simplify the system, the currency "ReferrerPoints" has been removed. The news message has been updated accordingly. When you gain us a new customer, you will receive Premium-RapidPoints instead, which you can use just like the ReferrerPoints. Of course all ReferrerPoints that have been collected until now have been conversed into the according number of Premium-RapidPoints.

Preparing for the transition into a new rates system

As mentioned earlier, we are going to replace the current system of rates to one that is more modern and advanced in it’s efficiency. We’ve begun this process immediately. Today we’ll delve into the preparatory phase of the transition.
First, the new system will not add the balance for sales, but this should be fully compensated by the rates. The new rates will be set primarily in accordance with the ratio of sales as well as several other parameters. Note that this does not mean that this will not be possible without the sales income.
As you may have guessed, we are about to introduce the system which may be familiar to some partners; where the rates are determined by the status of the account. The base status, which would be set for everyone by default, won’t be less than the average rates currently used on Uploading.com. And, for the most active partners, status will be immediately upgraded up to 1 or even 2 levels (total we have planned 4 levels of status).
Separate rates will also be introduced by file sizes. Within these new rates we intend to increase the maximum possible payment for 1000 unique downloads. In addition to this, we are going to expand the list of paid countries.

We already have the approximate rates, but we can’t publish them at the moment. Over the weekend we are going to test a new system and implement it around the middle of next week.
Until Monday, some errors may become evident in the statistics, but all stats are stored and maintained in a separate script. We’ve had to disable the calculation of sales to make possible this transition into the new system.
We apologize for inconveniences. Be certain that it is not an easy time for us, for we currently have to act very quickly in regards to difficult situations. All the taken and planned measures are being weighed and, ultimately, should ensure so long-awaited stability for everyone. We are doing everything possible to overcome this difficult period as quickly as possible in order to reach a new level. We ask for your understanding.
